Short Blog Five: Toronto Sculpture Garden

Toronto Sculpture Garden, Fonds 200, Series 1465, File 31, Item 9 ©️ City of Toronto Archives

The Toronto Sculpture Garden in Old Toronto exists as one of the city’s many urban spaces allocated to exhibiting artworks available to the public. This photo sourced from the City of Toronto’s Public Archives was taken circa 1981 when the Sculpture Garden was first erected.

Ever since its conception, the garden has allowed visitors to explore temporary artworks that work with many formats, materials, and scales that allow viewers to consider the space occupied by the artworks, as well as themselves.
