It is always edifying to consider the conditions of different social issues from a global narrative and translate these imbalances within different parameters around the world. It was interesting to read about your grandmother’s experience as part of the neglected community, as it helped me better understand the climate of the elder populations in Korea and the injustices that affect their ability to live.

Reading your post made me consider a more broad critique of the priorities of different governments and institutions regarding the overall well being of its communities. The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly revealed many truths about the intentions that authorities and governmental bodies hold over the immediate healthcare and financial needs of countless individuals. This is causing an unimaginable number of people to suffer as a result of poor distribution and allocation of wealth and resources, as well as a lack of prioritization and accountability.

I am interested in hearing more about whether possible plans to combat this issue are being addressed, and also if there are similar issues amongst other countries with a higher demographic of elderly populations.
