Hi Alicia! I loved hearing about your experiences living in different cities, I can’t wait to see how having this global perspective translates throughout your work and how you think about social justice. Learning about your hometown in Hangzhou, China was really interesting – my dad’s side of the family is from the Philippines and his grandmother also speaks a dying dialect. I really wish I was able to learn more about that region and culture to be able to understand more about my family’s roots. Hearing about how you became a cook in Winnipeg was really interesting, I’d love to learn more about what that experience was like! I’m curious- with your experiences living in different cities, it would be really interesting to compare different issues of social justice between Hangzhou, Winnipeg, and Toronto and see how the definitions of a Just City changes, or is similar, between them.

Thanks again for the lovely read!
